Bayes Esports, one of the most recognisable names in B2B esports data, has reportedly been placed under administration after being declared “illiquid and over-indebted” by the Charlottenburg district court in Berlin on August 1st, 2025, according to The Esports Advocate.
Despite announcing a partnership as recently as March 2025, the company has seen a wave of high-profile departures in recent weeks. Notable exits include Chief Software Architect Ben Steenhuisen and PR & Content Manager Gabrielle Runzer, with several other staff members publicly confirming their departures on social media.

Sources told The Esports Advocate that a small core team remains to handle asset sales, explore potential mergers, and assist affected employees in finding new roles within the industry.
Founded to professionalise esports data distribution, Bayes supplied live match data, analytical tools, and integrations to tournament organisers, betting platforms, and media companies. Its services were widely used in titles like League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, and Dota 2.
The insolvency highlights the challenges facing niche service providers in the esports ecosystem, where reliance on partnerships, licensing, and a healthy event calendar can make companies vulnerable to market downturns. Bayes’ future now hinges on whether a buyer or merger partner can be found.
