The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has announced a landmark partnership with infrastructure solutions provider ggCircuit to introduce the world’s first certified esports venue standard. This global certification aims to establish a benchmark for competitive integrity, security, and technological readiness across esports venues.

Under this new initiative, esports venues worldwide can apply for official certification. Those that meet or exceed a set of criteria—based on ggCircuit’s venue infrastructure technology and ESIC’s integrity protocols—will be designated as “Officially Certified Esports Venues.”

The certification evaluates a range of factors, including technical infrastructure, player safety, competitive fairness, and data security. While the full list of requirements has not been disclosed, the program promises to streamline decisions for tournament organizers seeking high-quality, integrity-compliant venues.
The certification marks another step in ESIC’s broader 2025 strategy to reinforce competitive standards across esports. Earlier this year, the Commission launched the International Games and Esports Tribunal in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organisation, aiming to resolve disputes and protect stakeholders’ rights.
