Ubisoft isn’t done evolving yet! The French gaming giant is reportedly forming a brand-new subsidiary that will oversee Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six — three of its biggest and most iconic franchises.
According to internal reports, this new division is expected to officially launch by the end of 2025, and will unite teams from Ubisoft Québec, Ubisoft Saguenay, Ubisoft Sherbrooke, and Ubisoft Montréal. The leadership baton will be held by Charlie Guillemot (son of Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot) and Christophe Derennes.

In an internal email obtained by journalists, CEO Yves Guillemot laid out even more ambitious restructuring plans. Ubisoft is gearing up to create several “creative houses” — independent-style hubs that will operate semi-autonomously under Ubisoft’s umbrella.
These “houses” will be in charge of developing and managing specific brands and IPs, with more creative freedom and flexibility. According to the current timeline, the first creative house should be operational by October, with full details expected later in September.
This isn’t Ubisoft’s first bold move in recent years. In fact, the company has been on a restructuring spree since 2022, closing several projects, consolidating studios, and doubling down on its flagship IPs (Assassin’s Creed Mirage, XDefiant, etc.) amid financial pressure and shifting gamer expectations.
