GIANTX drops a Dandadan-inspired banger ahead of VCT EMEA Next Stage

While some teams drop standard hype videos, GIANTX is blending esports with pop culture in a way that resonates deeply with VALORANT’s core audience — anime fans, competitive purists, and highlight-reel junkies alike. Whether they can back it up with results in Stage 2 remains to be seen — but the vibes are elite. Image source: Studio Science Saru

GIANTX is turning heads ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2 with a bold new promotional video inspired by the popular manga and anime series Dandadan. The European VALORANT squad dropped the anime-style opener just days before the second stage kicks off — and it’s already sparking buzz across the community.

The video reimagines the opening sequence of Dandadan Season 2, complete with matching transitions, stylized editing, and the original theme song “Otonoke” by Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts.

GIANTX’s players fully embrace the theme, appearing in character outfits and mirroring the poses of Momo and Okarun, the protagonists of the supernatural shōnen series.

Alongside the squad’s flashy showcase, the video also gives nods to other VCT EMEA contenders — with appearances from Fnatic, Karmine Corp, and Team Vitality — plus VALORANT icons like the map layouts, agents’ abilities, and even Wingman himself.

The timing of the promo couldn’t be better. GIANTX enters Stage 2 with serious momentum after a respectable run in Stage 1, where they made playoffs and delivered a hard-fought series against NAVI. With fans already praising their bold identity and on-stage firepower, this promo solidifies their reputation as one of the most creatively driven orgs in the VCT.
