The 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) has officially shattered viewership records, cementing its place as one of the most-watched esports events of the year. According to Esports Charts, the grand final between Korean powerhouses T1 and Gen.G peaked at a massive 3,445,577 concurrent viewers—and that’s not even counting numbers from Mainland China.
MSI has always held a special place in the League of Legends competitive calendar. As the key international tournament between Spring and Summer splits, it brings together top teams from each region to clash for global dominance—often setting the tone for Worlds later in the year.

While peak viewership saw a big leap compared to 2024’s 2.8 million mark, average viewership actually dipped slightly, coming in at 949,582 viewers, down about 60,000. That drop is likely due to time zone differences, which made it tougher for European fans to tune in live.
As expected, Korean-language streams topped the charts, peaking at over 1.1 million viewers. English-language streams followed with 736,967 peak viewers, while Vietnamese streams hit an impressive 697,114, nearly matching the English-speaking audience—a testament to the region’s die-hard LoL fanbase.
T1 was the tournament’s biggest draw, featuring in all five of the most-watched matches and tallying a combined 35 million hours watched, just edging past their total from 2024. Gen.G followed with 26 million hours, and LPL dark horse Anyone’s Legend pulled in 17.8 million.
