League of Legends icon Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok has become the first player in history to record 1,000 kills in international competition, hitting the milestone during T1’s clash with Gen.G at the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
The historic kill came during Game 2 of the upper bracket final, a tense, highlight-packed battle where T1 evened the series against regional rivals Gen.G. Faker’s 1,000th kill was met with celebration from casters and fans alike — a moment worthy of replay across social media and post-match breakdowns.
He already holds several unmatched records in the LCK, including:
- First player to reach 1,000 / 2,000 / 3,000 kills
- First to play 1,000 LCK games
- Most games won and most assists in the region
Faker’s first international kill came all the way back at Worlds 2013, in his breakout performance against Lemondogs. Since then, he’s redefined what it means to be a legend — racking up five World Championships, two MSI titles, and countless MVPs across a 12-year run.
With T1 still in the hunt for MSI glory, Faker’s journey isn’t over. Every time he steps on stage, it’s a chance to add another highlight to a career that seems destined never to slow down.
