Remedy Entertainment has revised its financial year 2025 outlook following weaker-than-expected sales of its game FBC Firebreak. In light of this performance, the company has adjusted its revenue and profitability projections, while also preparing to reduce operational costs to offset the shortfall.

The updated outlook signals a strategic shift: Remedy will focus more on its most successful IPs, including Control and Alan Wake, to recover from Firebreak’s underperformance.

Additionally, the company plans to recalibrate its marketing approach and delay some upcoming titles in its pipeline. Executives stated they now intend to be more cautious with investments into unproven IPs.

This move indicates that shareholders can expect a more conservative fiscal policy, with limited capital expansion and increased reliance on proven franchises.

Remedy also highlighted that lessons learned from previous marketing campaigns and player engagement data will help fine-tune future launches for stronger market performance.
