Sony has entered a new strategic business alliance with Bandai Namco, acquiring 16 million shares—approximately 2.5% of the total issued—valued at around $430 million. The deal focuses on boosting Bandai Namco’s key intellectual properties through merchandising, content distribution, and immersive entertainment experiences.

Announced via a Sony blog post, the partnership aims to deepen collaboration around Bandai Namco’s anime, manga, and gaming IPs—fields experiencing rapid growth worldwide.
