EWC Launches Fantasy Challenge with $100K Prize Pool

Fantasy esports is becoming a major trend — giving fans a fun, interactive way to follow tournaments beyond just watching the matches.

Ready to prove your esports knowledge? The Esports World Cup has just dropped a free-to-play fantasy competition covering five of its biggest titles — and fans have the chance to win a share of a $100,000 prize pool.

Fantasy games are now live for VALORANT, Dota 2, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Counter-Strike 2 — five of the 24 total titles featured at this year’s Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

So how does it work? Just like in traditional fantasy sports, players build their dream team from a pool of pro players competing in each tournament. Your fantasy squad earns points based on how well those real players perform in-game — think kills, assists, wins, and overall impact.

To bring it all to life, the EWC has teamed up with Genius Sports, a leading name in sports data and fan engagement tech. Genius has previously worked with esports analytics firms like GRID and Bayes Esports, helping to deliver real-time stats and insights to platforms and sportsbooks.
