Valve Corporation has unveiled three major new hardware devices — the Steam Machine, Steam Frame (a VR headset), and the next-gen Steam Controller — scheduled for release in early 2026.

The Steam Machine is designed as a compact console-style PC built to run the full Steam library and integrate seamlessly with SteamOS. Meanwhile, the Steam Frame headset supports both VR and regular PC gaming natively — no tethered PC required.

Valve emphasised that these devices extend the company’s hardware ecosystem beyond the success of the Steam Deck, aiming to give gamers “even more ways to play all the great titles in their Steam libraries”.

The official announcement did not provide exact pricing or specific launch dates beyond “early 2026”, but signalled Valve’s renewed focus on hardware development to challenge traditional console models and further build on its open platform strategy.
