Electronic Arts has confirmed the official reveal date for the next installment in the Battlefield series. A live countdown has been launched on the franchise’s YouTube channel, with the debut trailer set to premiere on July 24 at 3:00 PM (UTC).
Currently listed under the title “Battlefield” with no number or subtitle, the upcoming game may signal a rebranding or soft reboot of the iconic shooter series.
While EA has yet to confirm any plot or gameplay details, rumors point to a return to modern military combat and large-scale, destructible environments powered by the Frostbite engine.
