Talon Esports, a well-known esports organisation based in Hong Kong, has announced it has successfully raised $2 million in its seed funding round. The round included participation from Widus Strategic Investments, EMC Capital, and Felix LaHaye, the founder of esports marketing agency United Esports.
Talon says the fresh capital will help power its expansion into new countries and competitive titles, as well as strengthen its lifestyle brand, which includes apparel drops, creator collaborations, and more.

Fans of the team will remember Talon’s rise in the Pacific region, particularly in League of Legends, where they compete in the PCS under the name PSG Talon, in partnership with French football club Paris Saint-Germain.
Since being founded in 2017, we’ve seen Talon grow from local leagues to the biggest stage in esports—the League of Legends World Championship

Outside of League, Talon also fields rosters in Overwatch, Arena of Valor, and Valorant, and has built a reputation for supporting homegrown talent across Southeast Asia. Their aggressive playstyle and sharp branding have earned them a passionate fanbase, especially in Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
This funding comes at a time when many esports orgs are scaling back or consolidating, but Talon’s trajectory is heading in the opposite direction—looking to grow its presence and continue to be a standout name in the Asian esports scene.
