Street Fighter 6 is throwing open the doors of competition — Nintendo Switch 2 players are now officially invited to join the Capcom Pro Tour.

Following a blockbuster launch with over 3.5 million Nintendo Switch 2 units sold in just days, Street Fighter 6 has joined the party and helped push the game past 5 million copies sold.

Now, thanks to full crossplay support, players on Nintendo’s new console can compete right alongside PC, PlayStation, and Xbox fighters.

According to Capcom’s latest Pro Tour rulebook, the Switch 2 is now a fully recognized platform for competitive play. That means players on the go — or on the couch — can now jump into qualifiers, online and offline, for a shot at the massive $1 million prize at Capcom Cup 12, the biggest event in the Street Fighter calendar.

Switch 2 players will also be eligible to compete in the World Warrior tournaments, which serve as regional online qualifiers. Capcom recommends using a wired connection — now possible with the Switch 2’s built-in Ethernet port — for the smoothest gameplay experience.
